You loved them as a kid and you probably love them now – we’re talking about no bake cookies. You know, the ones with cocoa, peanut butter and oatmeal.
These delicious treats are perfect for any occasion or for no occasion at all. Whether you are enjoying a ‘movie night’ at home with your family, spending time with the kids as they write letters to Santa, or you have friends over to watch the Super Bowl, no bake cookies are sure to be a big hit.
Here’s What You Need:
- 4 Tablespoons cocoa powder – unsweetened
- 1 ¾ cups white sugar
- ½ cup butter
- ½ cup milk
- 3 cups quick oats
- ½ cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Medium saucepan & wax paper
How to Cook No Bake Cookies
Combine the following ingredients in the saucepan:
- Cocoa
- Sugar
- Butter
- Milk
Heat to a boil – cook for 1 ½ minutes
Remove from heat and stir in the following ingredients
- Oats
- Peanut Butter
- Vanilla Extract
Use a teaspoon to drop cookie mixture onto wax paper. Cookies will harden as they cool.
Tips:
When it comes to these cookies, timing is everything. Cookies can turn out crumbly and dry if you allow the mixture to boil too long and if you don’t boil long enough they will not harden. Begin timing as soon as the mix reaches a full and rolling boil. Cook for 1 ½ minutes – then remove from heat.
Enjoy!
